The Territorial Community Award recognizes a local elected official for the simultaneous consideration of economic, social, societal, and environmental components in the management of his community.

The selection committee selected DUN, a small municipality in Ariège for its anticipation of the economic balances of its projects, the cohesion maintained daily with the municipal teams despite the geographical break-up of the commune, exemplary societal achievements gathered in the project « Living well in the DUN valley », the creation of social housing and a zero vacant housing scheme, the acquisition and consolidation of land for the installation of young farmers and environmentally the obtaining of several labels and the status of associated commune of the Natural Park of the Ariegean Pyrenees despite its position outside the perimeter of the park.
